Salty Pomme

On Saturday May 27th, dozens of cideries will gather together for The Pressed Conference at the Masonic Event Center in Denver. Over 80+ craft ciders will be flowing, and lawn games, live music, and summertime shenanigans will surely make this an event to remember.

To celebrate Colorado Cider Week, we've partnered with our friends at Stem Ciders to bring you the ultimate craft pickle cider: Salty Pomme. Okay, maybe a pickle cider is a bit of a stretch... We added a special salted cucumber juice to hopped apple cider. The results are refreshing and bright, and drinking a Salty Pomme is the perfect way to cool down on a hot summer afternoon!

We had the pleasure of sitting down with Courtney O'Rourke, the Director of Marketing and Cider Relations at Stem Ciders, to find out more about Salty Pomme and all things Pressed.

TRD: How did you come up with the idea for Salty Pomme?
CO: The Salty Pomme has been a long time in the making. We began experimenting with fresh cucumber juice last year, and knew it would play nicely with the fresh apple juice profiles we use in our cider. The addition of the sea salt with the Hopped Cider really pulled it all together and Salty Pomme was born.

TRD: How would you describe Salty Pomme in 5 words?
CO:  Fresh. New. Hoppy. Fruit. Apple.

TRD: Why did you choose to collaborate with The Real Dill?
CO:  The Real Dill people are our people! Longtime friends of the crew, and diehard pickle fans, a TRD collab was inevitable!

TRD: What are you most looking forward to at The Pressed Conference?
CO:  Most excited to share our cider and the good cider word with all that are curious! Craft cider is here, right here in Colorado, and The Pressed Conference gives us the opportunity to showcase the best of the best from right here in the Rocky Mountain region.

TRD: What can people expect to find at The Pressed Conference?
CO:  Expect close to 80+ ciders to try from over a dozen cideries. The Rocky Mountain Cider Association will be fresh pressing apples onsite, so you can experience a behind the scenes look into how apples are pressed, taste the juice right off the press, and meet and greet the makers behind it all. It's going to be a great day!

Come hang out with us at The Pressed Conference and enjoy a cold Salty Pomme and Crabby Neighbor cider pickles that we created exclusively for this event! We are also sampling and selling our products next to the Stem Ciders booth. Tickets are still available- trust us, you won't want to miss out!
